(October 10, 1997) FEEDER CATTLE: SHORT TERM–Short-covering and ideas that the grain report will show increased corn production are helping support feeders. Cash markets have been active, implying renewed demand.

RESISTANCE–Resistance basis November remains near the low 7700's, 7760-7780, 7835, 7950 or so, 8050-8065, 8110.

SUPPORT–Support basis November is near 7635, 7615.

RECOMMENDATION–If aggressive, buy November feeders on 50-75 point breaks with 50-100 point stops. Objective is open. Option traders might buy near the money calls.
