(October 3, 1997) SOYBEANS: Still too soon to tell if our longs will be successful, though it is encouraging that short covering is helping our positioning, as were the export sales figures which came in this week at a higher-than-expected figure.

SOY OIL–Some volatile trade here as prices have repeatedly been pressured, only to recover generally as a result of commercial buying, a potentially good sign for our longs.
