CURRENCIES:

For the time being, I wish to have no position in the currency markets. The odds appear high that the Fed will raise rates this week and if they do, it could be supportive towards the U.S. Dollar and bearish for the other major currencies. But currencies can be so fickle that it is hard to say exactly what will happen if the Fed does raise rates. Therefore, prudence suggests that one stand aside in the currency markets for the next week or so.
