(December 12, 1997) STOCK INDICES: VALUE LINE–The 850 price level is a pivot point where if it is not broken, another leg up in prices will be on order. However, with the technology sector in the stock market suffering so badly, coupled with the Asian mess and weaker-than-expected U.S. economic data, we may be poised for a sharp drop all the way down to at least 750.
