(December 12, 1997) COTTON: In the past decade, we've seen prices have a range of from about $1.15 to 40 cents, and given the deflationary scenario that is unfolding, it looks like we will see at least 50 cents before coming to a bottom. Generally positive USDA data on export sales did little to stem the decline, adding to the overall bearishness of traders.
