CONSENSUS would like to announce that ING Derivatives Clearing has changed
name. It will still appear every other week in the individual commodity
comments sections under its new name, R.J. O'Brien & Associates, Inc.
The CONSENSUS Bi-Weekly Report of the Commitment of Traders has
been added to the Online Subscribers Index page. This report was
updated the weekend of (11-23-97). It will be updated again after
the release of the data from
the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (12-07-97).
The tables included in this report provide a breakdown of each
Tuesday's open interest for markets in which five or more traders
hold positions equal to or above the reporting levels established
by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The tables show open
interest separately by reportable and nonreportable positions. For
reportable positions, additional data is provided on commercial and
noncommercial holdings, spreading, and numbers of traders.
A "FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS" section has been added to the
Online Subscribers Index page. This section is being developed to
help Consensus online subscribers better utilize the online edition.
Over a period of time, frequently asked questions will be addressed here.
Some articles will be uploaded through out the week before the
regular publication date of the print issue. A limited number of
articles may be uploaded as late as the Monday after the Friday
publication date as agreed to with certain contributors.
Please take time to fill out a survey after reviewing this full
online edition. We have taken specific actions on past suggestions:
- Included freshness dates on the market articles both on the In Progress
page and the final issue market index.
- Expanded Index pages for the Technical Corner and Finnancial
Commentary sections have been added to give an indication of the
content of the articles.
- New navigation links between secure issues have been added to the
index page of each secure issue.
- Time & dates on the Online Subscribers Index page show when the
last upload took place on the latest issue.
- A "Work in Progress" page was set up to get commodity articles out
ahead of the regular publication date of Friday.
- Additional navigation links were placed at the end of Futures Market
sections, the Technical Corner and Financial Commentary.
- Specific titles for statistical reports have been placed on the issue
index page.
