Corn sales were the best in some time, and slightly above the trade est. of 32 mbu., at 36.6 million. Japan, Taiwan, “unknown,” Mexico and South Korea were the main buyers. Soybean sales were 45% over the 4-week average, with 7.8 mbu. to Netherlands, 6.27 to China, and 3.4 mbu. to Brazil. Cancels to “unknown” were 14 mbu. Meal sales were as expected, led by the Phillippines. China took 21,500 soy oil, but it was all previously reported under unknown. Wheat bookings continued slow, but 10% over the 4-week average. Major buyers were Egypt, Japan, the Phillippines, Slovenia and Peru.
