(November 7, 1997) METALS: GOLD–The very fact that with all the international financial turmoil and the Mideast situation that gold cannot move upward, to any degree, is very bearish in our estimation, despite the heavy underlying support. At some point gold will make a new bull market, but the time doesn't appear to be now.
