(November 2, 1997) SUGAR: While most markets had to endure the whims and ways of the world's equity markets this past week, sugar prices did their own thing. Sugar prices rose to new contract highs on Friday, proving it to be one of the most bullish commodities on the board.

What I find most exciting about sugar prices rising while most other markets are falling is this: the fundamentals that are supporting the sugar market are not nearly as bullish as those supporting the corn market. If sugar prices can rise in the face of the negative influences of the surrounding markets, corn prices can rise as well.

Take buy signals for any commodity that has been hit hard here in October.
