(March 15, 2000) HOGS: Worries that the cash market is topping out encouraged a bit of profit-taking, especially after the recent rally. Stop-loss buying was a feature of today's trade. The so-so close suggests caution. April hogs are at a premium to the lean hog index, which may weigh on further advances. The supply/demand picture on the hogs is a bit murky right now, so traders should exercise caution, especially after the recent rise.
